About us
United Persons with Disabilities is a nonprofit, community-based organization working to advance employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Uganda. We believe that every individual possesses the capability to engage in meaningful work and deserves the opportunity to contribute to their community through employment.
Mission
To empower people with disabilities through creation, lobbying, and advocating for inclusive and equitable access to opportunities to enable them to achieve their full potential.

To be a benchmark for contemporary disability organizations, characterized not by our weaknesses, but by our commitment to empower and support the individuals we serve, enabling them to succeed.

Harunah's dedication to social entrepreneurship for persons with disabilities has strengthened our program and participants, as well as the disability community in Uganda.
Through the launch of the Twezimbe project, which organized us into a cooperative, I secured a microcredit that I utilized to establish my own vegetable garden specializing in high-demand crops such as tomatoes and greens.
I have mentored many fellows across Africa, but the dedication and drive exhibited by Harunah is truly unmatched. Working with Harunah has been an absolute joy.
